About Richard Cole : I grew up in Southern California. My Dad and Mom filmed our vacations with a movie camera. They traveled to Yosemite, Oregon, Colorado, and many other Wonderful places. I'd always say to myself, when I get old enough, Im going to travel all around the World taking pictures. In the mid- 1970's my dad gave me a 35 mm minolta camera and I was off to yosemite to pursue my dream, it was one of the greatest thrills of my life to finally photograph Yosemite National Park the way I had been dreaming of for so long. That trip inspired me to someday become a professional photographer

. In april of 1980, I asked Jesus Christ to come into my life and make me a new man. He took the desire for drinking and drugs,and gave me an inner peace I had never known before. In the early 1980's I attended Fullerton College to learn the art of Photography. During this time I met a Photographer at church who owned his own Photography Studio. He taught me how to photograph Weddings and Portraits as well as model portfolio's. During this time I supported myself working for a saw and tool sharpening service. I developed a strong desire to start my own Photogaphy business, and in 1990 I started R.W. Cole Custom Photography. I soon found out that it was not what I wanted to do with my life. I still had my dream of traveling around the world taking pictures and wanted my own gallery. In 1994 after working in the sharpening business for 21 years, I decided to start my own sharpening service. I soon found out that I hated the business, so after a year in business, my building lease came up for renewal and I decided to close the business.

In 1996 I came up with the idea to start an online Photographic Gallery. My next problem was I needed a job so I became a service technician for an air compressor service. During this time I learned more about running a business by watching and listening to the President of the company, and the different managers over the years. Thanks to all of you.

After working very hard and saving my money, I started Cole Picture Gallery.com. Thank you Jesus. My passion is Photography, Its what I love to do. I plan on pursuing my dream God gave me and traveling the rest of my life.
